Prince George’s County

Prince George’s County is one of the older counties in the area, having been established in the late 1600s. The County has continued to grow since its founding and is now one of the most populated counties in both the state and region. Prince George’s County is conveniently located near Washington DC and provides easy access to the entire DC-Maryland-Virginia region through nearby major highways and the robust public transit system in the area, which includes metro trains on the green, red, orange, and blue lines, as well as metro bus routes. Due in part to its proximity to Washington D.C., the County has many career opportunities in sectors such as government, technology, healthcare, and education. Prince George’s County is home to a wide variety of leisure options ranging from parks and nature preserves to numerous shopping and dining establishments.
